MANILA, Philippines - A delegation comprising some of Australia’s largest institutional investors, representing almost AUD 1.4 trillion in assets under management, will visit the Philippines from 8 to 9 September 2026 to explore new investment opportunities in energy, infrastructure and other strategic sectors.
Senior representatives from AustralianSuper, IFM Investors, Macquarie Asset Management, PentagreenCapital and Plenary Group will meet Philippine business leaders, senior Government officials, and major project sponsors, according to a news release from the Australian Embassy in Manila.
“Together, these investors bring extensive global experience in financing, developing and managing major infrastructure, energy and strategic assets – as well as significant pools of long-term capital,” Australian Embassy said.
The delegation also includes investors supported through the Australian Government’s AUD2 billion Southeast Asia Investment Financing Facility, administered by Export Finance Australia.
“The facility is helping Australian investors pursue opportunities across Southeast Asia, including in the Philippines,” the Embassy stated.
The delegation will explore opportunities arising from the Philippines’ ambitious infrastructure expansion and energy transition.
“This visit, which brings some of Australia’s leading institutional investors to the Philippines, is another important initiative under Invested: Australia’s Southeast Asia Economic Strategy to 2040. We are seeking to facilitate a significant increase in Australian investment in the Philippines,” according to the Australian Ambassador to the Philippines Marc Innes-Brown said.

“The Philippines has ambitious plans for infrastructure, energy and economic development. We want to see more Australian investors bringing capital and expertise to help turn those ambitions into reality,” Innes-Brown added.
The visit takes place during the 80th anniversary year of Australia-Philippines diplomatic relations, and we are looking towards an even more substantial economic relationship, the Embassy mentioned.
