The results of the 2025 Bar Examinations were officially released on January 7, prompting newly minted lawyers to share their emotional reactions online. Among them, one moment stood out and quickly went viral for its unexpected turn of events.
On the same day the results were announced, the sister of Atty. Faizal Macaumbang uploaded a video capturing their family as they anxiously waited for the Bar Exam results to be released.

When the family finally saw the results, they erupted in celebration. In the midst of the excitement, they initially failed to notice that Atty. Faizal had lost consciousness. Once they realized what had happened, panic set in as they rushed to assist him. Fortunately, he quickly regained consciousness and was able to join the celebration once more.
DZRH News later conducted an exclusive interview with Atty. Faizal, where he explained what truly happened behind the viral clip.
According to him, he had no idea how the video gained traction online. He shared that he had turned off his phone and social media notifications and was unaware of the exact time the Bar Exam results would be released. At the time, he was also on duty working as a freelance accountant. When his family gathered in his mother’s room, the results were released, triggering an emotional celebration.
He recalled the moment, saying, “Parang nasusuka ako. Kasi wala akong masyadong tulog. Kasi parang yung kaba, yung ganon. Tapos naka-hug ako sa kuya ko at nanay ko. Nakahawak sa akin pati yung kapatid ko. Tapos lumabas na yung result. Parang na-shock ako kasi hindi ako makapaniwala na isa ako sa mga pumasa.”
He continued, “Tapos nag-blur yung mata ko. Parang nag-blur. Kasi hindi talaga ako makapaniwala. Siguro sa mixed emotion, walang tulog masyado. Yung ganun. Tapos, doon na, nahimatay na po ako. So, nahimatay ako, tapos, nag-hug yung kapatid ko, yung nanay ko. Tapos, hindi na ako nakasama sa pag-hug nila. Kasi na yun. Emotion na din sila. Tapos, nasa ibaba na ako. Nasa floor na po ako. Doon na, inaalog na nila ako.”

He also shared that his mother was crying out of mixed emotions—unsure whether her tears were from joy over his success or fear after seeing him collapse.
Atty. Faizal said it was his first time experiencing a blackout and that he had little recollection of what happened afterward. While he still felt physically drained, he eventually regained full awareness.
The new lawyer graduated from St. Columban College, his law school, in May 2025. Afterward, he spent three months reviewing before immediately taking the 2025 Bar Examinations.
When asked for advice for future Bar takers, he emphasized discipline and consistency, stating, “motivation is good, but then again, discipline is number one,” adding, “Dapat consistent ka magbasa. Huwag putulin yung momentum,” “do it every day,” and “it takes reading talaga, hours of reading.”
