Family, friends and loved ones gathered Thursday, Oct. 15, for the living funeral of comedian Ate Gay at Forest Lake Memorial Parks in Biñan, Laguna, celebrating his life and the joy he has brought to others.

The gathering gave attendees an opportunity to express their love, gratitude and appreciation for the comedian while he was still with them.

Among those who delivered eulogies were fellow comedian Boobsie Wonderland and content creator Arman Salon, who joined others in honoring Ate Gay.

In September 2025, Ate Gay publicly revealed that he had been diagnosed with stage 4 mucoepidermoid carcinoma, a type of cancer that typically develops in the salivary glands.

His diagnosis brought attention to his health journey, while the living funeral offered family and friends a chance to celebrate his life and let him feel their love and support.
