Comedian and host Ate Gay has opened up about the people who have supported her as she battles cancer, revealing that actress and global fashion icon Heart Evangelista is among those who have extended help.

During an interview with host Boy Abunda, Ate Gay shared that Evangelista has been providing consistent financial assistance for her daily needs.

“Napakabuti ni Heart,” Ate Gay said.

According to Ate Gay, Evangelista’s personal assistant reached out to Allan K’s manager to connect with her after knowing about her illness.

“Monthly niya po ‘ko binibiyayaan,” she revealed, adding that the actress even offered to bring her to Singapore for medical treatment.

Ate Gay expressed deep gratitude for the support she has received, calling it a blessing.

Mahal nila ako, at marami pa pong iba,” she said.

She also acknowledged the help of Gabay Guro chairperson Chaye Cabal-Revilla, who has reportedly covered her hospitalization and medical expenses at Asian Hospital.

“Mula day one, pati hanggang ngayon.

She noted that each session costs around P346,000.

The comedian also shared other personalities who extended support include Allan K, Coco Martin, Jolo Revilla, Mark Lapid, and Lito Lapid.

Ate Gay, whose real name is Gil Morales, was diagnosed with Stage 4 mucoepidermoid carcinoma after initially noticing a lump in her neck in March 2025.

Ayon, nagpatingin na ako," the comedian recalled.

Ate Gay revealed that she underwent 35 sessions of radiation therapy and five cycles of chemotherapy.

She shared that chemotherapy significantly affected her health, particularly her ability to eat due to mouth sores.

“Puro singaw kaya ang payat-payat ko ngayon. Di makakain kaya ang ginagawa ko, lagi na lang akong nagpapa-ospital, dextrose tapos ‘yung malalambot na pagkain,” she said.

Currently, Ate Gay is undergoing immunotherapy and remains hopeful about her recovery.

“Okay na po ngayon, nag-i-immunotherapy ako 12 times. Tatapusin lang po ‘yun tapos hihintayin kung anong susunod na sasabihin ng doctor,” she said.
