Twelve-year-old SEA Games champion Mazel Paris Alegado finished fifth in the women’s park final at the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games after battling against a field of older competitors.

Alegado showed steady improvement throughout the final, scoring 70.81 points in her opening run and 80.19 in her second. After a slip in the third run, she bounced back with her best score of 80.65 on her fourth and final attempt.

Her score left her just behind fellow 12-year-old competitor Cao Shiqi of China, who moved into fourth place with an 81.23 on her final run.

Japan’s Mizuho Hasegawa, 15, won the women’s park gold with 94.03 points. Chinese Taipei’s Lin Yi-fan, 14, took silver with 85.15, while Japan’s Misugu Okamoto, 20, secured bronze with 82.86.

Meanwhile, two-time SEA Games champion Jericho Francisco Jr. finished fourth in the men’s park final.

The 24-year-old Filipino remained in medal contention through the first three runs, highlighted by an 84.41 on his third attempt. However, a slip in his final run resulted in a 2.00 score, allowing Japan’s Gunjo Shiji to take bronze with 86.03.

Japan’s Izuru Nagahara won gold with 88.96, while Chinese Taipei’s Ku Yong-yan claimed silver with 87.33.
