Around 30,000 people are expected to join the “Trillion Peso March” on Sunday, September 21, Francis Joseph 'Kiko' Aquino Dee, a political analyst and co-convenor of Tindig Pilipinas, said.

In an exclusive interview at DZRH Adbokasiya on Saturday, September 20, Dee stated that the estimated number they announced could still exceed, as several people expressed their interest in joining the protest.

"So sa aming pag-uusap sa MMDA, kinlaro naman po namin na yung 30,000 na binigay namin, panay mga organized groups ‘yan na nakipag-usap na sa organizers at nagsabi na sasali sila. Pero yung mga walk-in po natin…nararamdaman ko rin po na marami po ang makikilahok sa rally for the first time nitong September 21," Dee explained.

In case the number of attendees exceeds, Dee assured that they have contingencies prepared. As an example, Dee said they requested the closure of one EDSA-bound lane.

"Pero kung sakaling talagang…umapaw po yung tao, handa naman po tayong mag-adjust na damihan po ‘yun, o lakihan po yung protest area natin sa White Plains Avenue. So ‘yun po, we're ready for all scenarios po,” he assured.

To ensure security and peace throughout the program, Dee said the organizers met with the Quezon City local government, including the MMDA and the Philippine National Police (PNP).

The “Trillion Peso March” also coincides with another anti-corruption protest to be held at Luneta Park. During the interview, Dee stated that they stand in solidarity with the said protest, stating, “walang kulay ang korapsyon.”

The “Trillion Peso March” would be held on Sunday, September 21, starting at 2:00 PM at the EDSA People Power Monument in Quezon City.

According to Dee, the said protest is organized by church groups, including Tindig Pilipinas, which is part of the coalition Komunidad Laban sa Katiwalian (SIKLAB). During the interview, Dee said the event is led by Bishop Colin Bagaforo, the leader of the Church Leaders Council for National Transformation (CLCNT).
