American singer-songwriter Ariana Grande will step away from public appearances after completing her “Eternal Sunshine” tour, citing concerns over “endless, ongoing public scrutiny.”

The Oscar-nominated actress’ representative confirmed that the singer will “take a step back from visibility” once the tour concludes on September 1.

“She looks forward to finishing the tour and ending it on a high note, both healthily and happily, and then taking a much-deserved break from public-facing work and appearances, which has led to endless, ongoing public scrutiny,” Grande’s representative told People.

The representative added that the tour has been a meaningful experience for the 33-year-old performer, who remains grateful to her supporters.

“This tour has been a beautiful experience for her. She loves her fans and has loved every minute of this tour so much,” the statement said.

A source close to Grande, quoted by People, also emphasized that the singer is in good health despite public discussions about her appearance.

“She performs a very physical show, and there is a lot of athleticism involved,” the source said. “She performs healthily and successfully at a very high level night after night.”

Grande has withdrawn from her planned West End debut in the revival of Stephen Sondheim’s musical “Sunday in the Park with George.”

In a statement posted on X, producers of the London production confirmed Grande’s departure.

“Following this evening's announcement from Ariana Grande's team, we can confirm that she has decided to step back from ‘Sunday in the Park with George,’” the production said.

“We know this cannot have been an easy decision, and she makes it with our complete understanding and support. We wish her nothing but the best,” it added.

The production was scheduled to open at London’s Barbican Centre next summer, with Grande set to star opposite her Wicked co-star Jonathan Bailey.

“Sunday in the Park with George,” inspired by French painter Georges Seurat’s artwork A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte, is a critically acclaimed 1984 musical by Sondheim.

The decision comes amid renewed online commentary about Grande’s physical appearance following the release of her latest album and its title track, “Petal,” which debuted on July 31. Discussions about her appearance intensified after the release of the song’s music video.
