Motivational speaker and entrepreneur Anthony Pangilinan announced that their fuel station will cut ₱3.00 per liter from its regular diesel prices starting March 17, as fuel costs continue to rise in the Philippines due to tensions in the Middle East.

In a social media post, Pangilinan said the decision came after assessing how the surge in fuel prices is affecting both their business and the surrounding community.

According to him, the idea was suggested by his son, actor and entrepreneur Donny Pangilinan.

“Assessed fuel prices and its effect on our business, but more importantly, our community,” Pangilinan said.

“Our partner (yes, my son!) suggested a move that didn’t make sense ‘numbers wise’ but was 100% in sync with our mission: support those who need it most in the community,” he added.

The price reduction will apply to diesel products at their fuel station located in South Forbes.

Pangilinan said the initiative aims to help motorists and residents cope with the rising fuel costs, which have been linked to escalating geopolitical tensions in the Middle East that continue to impact global oil prices.

“Starting tomorrow, March 17, we cut ₱3.00 per liter from our regular prices for diesel products in our station in South Forbes. Will keep it running for as long as we are able,” he said.

“Let’s all do what we can, while we can, for as long as we are able,” Pangilinan added.
