Japanese anime and manga retailer Animate opened its first Philippine branch on Oct. 16 at One Ayala in Makati City, bringing a wider selection of official merchandise and collectibles to Filipino fans.

Located on Level 3 of the mall, Animate Manila offers a range of products for anime and manga enthusiasts, including manga volumes, light novels, character figures, acrylic stands and other collectibles.

The store is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Fridays through Sundays.

Shoppers can also sign up for the store’s membership program to receive discounts on selected purchases, including 10% off books and 5% off character merchandise.

To celebrate its opening, Animate Manila is holding a special raffle from Oct. 16 to 18, giving customers a chance to win prizes such as exclusive postcards, clear files, figures and other items.

Customers receive one raffle entry for every 1,000 pesos spent in a single transaction during the promotional period.

The opening marks Animate’s entry into the Philippine retail market, offering local fans a physical destination to browse and purchase official anime-related products.
