Eugene Domingo is cooking something “euge” with a full-on toast-and-roast to Philippine theater!
Hours after the iconic actress dared the Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA) to “open the lid,” they formally announced on late Tuesday, December 2, that “Ang Babae sa Septic Tank 4: Oh Sh*t! Live Sa Cheter!” will be flushing to the theater stage starting June next year.
Another addition to the “Ang Babae sa Septic Tank” Universe is in store, this time with crazier and wilder ideas.
“Brace yourselves for chaotic laughs, sharp truths, and a full-on roast-and-toast to Philippine theater in all its messy, magnificent glory,” PETA said in its caption.
Based on its synopsis, the satirical play will be a chaotic, hilarious meta-comedy about ego, art, and the messy reality of making contemporary Philippine theater. “From macro to micro, from venue problems to ticket prices, from what the subject matter is to what’s on Broadway, from what we love to what we hate about theater, from the past, present, and future of our beloved art.”
The critically acclaimed franchise began as an indie comedy film, starring Domingo as a fictionalized version of herself. Similar to the first installment, its sequels continued to critique film genres, often masked with comedy and exaggeration to expose the absurdities behind “art.”
The theatrical adaptation will run from June 19 to August 16, 2026, at the PETA Theater Center.
