Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC) Executive Director Atty. Ronel Buenaventura testified Monday that Cale88 Foods Corporation received a total of ₱319,326,770.41 in inward remittances from China and Hong Kong.
Buenaventura said the amount was reflected in the AMLC’s tabular summary based on covered transaction and suspicious transaction reports.
Of the total, ₱315.935 million came from mainland China, while ₱3.39 million came from Hong Kong.
“Ang naka-indicate po sa aming tabular summary ay ₱319,326,770.41,” Buenaventura said.
The figure is consistent with an earlier allegation by former Senator Antonio "Sonny" Trillanes IV that Cale88 Foods, one of the 15 corporations linked to Vice President Sara Duterte, received around ₱319 million from China.
