The northeast monsoon or amihan continues to affect parts of Luzon and Visayas on Monday, March 16, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
In its 4 a.m. bulletin, PAGASA said the amihan will bring cloudy skies with light rains over the Bicol Region, Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, Apayao, Kalinga, and Mountain Province.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains are also expected over Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon, the Visayas, Dinagat Islands, and Surigao del Norte due to the northeast monsoon.
Meanwhile, the rest of Mindanao will experience partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies with rain showers or thunderstorms caused by localized thunderstorms.
PAGASA said no low pressure area is currently being monitored inside or outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
Over the weekend, PAGASA recorded the coldest temperature so far this year in Baguio City, with temperatures dropping to 9°C at around 5 a.m. on Saturday, attributed to the effects of the amihan.
