The northeast monsoon or amihan and the easterlies are affecting the country on Friday, March 20, according to PAGASA.

According to the state weather bureau’s forecast, Batanes, Ilocos Norte, Apayao, and Cagayan will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains caused by the northeast monsoon.

Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon, and the Visayas will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies.

Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, no low pressure area is being monitored inside and outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
