

The Northeast Monsoon, or amihan, is affecting areas in Luzon and Visayas on Wednesday, January 28, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported.
According to the agency’s 4 a.m. bulletin, Caraga and Southern Leyte will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms due to the Shear Line.
Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, and Quezon are expected to have cloudy skies with light rains caused by the Northeast Monsoon, while Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon, and the rest of Visayas will see partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains.
Meanwhile, the rest of Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.
In terms of wind and coastal conditions, northern Luzon will experience moderate to strong winds moving northeast, with moderate to rough coastal waters.
The rest of the country will have moderate to strong winds moving northeast to north, accompanied by moderate to rough coastal waters.
Sunrise is expected at 6:25 a.m., and sunset at 5:53 p.m.
