The Department of Education (DepEd) has issued a reminder to the public after a false social media post claimed that Christmas parties would no longer be allowed in schools.

In its advisory, DepEd said “Fake news ang kumakalat na post tungkol sa umano’y pagtanggal ng Christmas Party sa mga paaralan” and clarified that “wala itong inilalabas na anunsiyo tulad nito.”

The agency urged the public to stay vigilant, noting “maging mapanuri at i-report ang mga page na nagpapakalat ng maling impormasyon.”

It also advised everyone to rely only on verified DepEd Philippines social media accounts and the official website for accurate updates.
