InfiniteUs Marketing Solutions Incorporated has strongly denied the existence of any contract with the Chinese Embassy or any foreign government for troll operations or illicit digital activity.
In a statement on Friday, April 30, the company emphasized that the claims of Senator Francis Tolentino in recent senate hearing are “baseless accusations” and that there’s “no such contract exists.”
“We categorically deny having any agreement... for troll operations, disinformation, or illicit digital activity,” InfinitUs stated.
They labeled the supposed service agreement as “unauthenticated, unsigned, and completely unfamiliar to our company,” calling it a “forgery crafted to fit a political narrative.”
InfinitUs confirmed the legitimacy of a financial transaction revealed by Tolentino, stating that the payment was made in exchange for legal public relations services provided to clients, including diplomatic institutions.
“The check is real—but legal and justified,” the company clarified.
Furthermore, the company indicated that its operations are conducted in full adherence to Philippine banking, tax, anti-money laundering, and corporate regulations.
The PR firm expressed concern over what it calls the “unauthorized public exposure of our financial records,” which it claims may constitute a violation of banking secrecy and data privacy laws.
InfinitUs said they are currently consulting legal counsel regarding possible actions.
While rejecting the "troll" label, InfinitUs insisted, “We are not trolls—we are professional,” citing that their work is grounded in transparent, ethical, and data-driven communications, distancing themselves from any form of online harassment or deception.
The statements were released after Tolentino presented a contract dated August 2023 between the Chinese Embassy and InfinitUs, which outlined the provision of so-called "keyboard warriors" during a senate hearing into the presence of submersible drones and China’s suspected espionage activities in the Philippines.
These keyboard warriors were tasked to comment on social media posts and spread disinformation and information favorable to China, especially on issues concerning the West Philippine Sea.
The senator further disclosed a check Bank of China Manila Branch dated September 11 worth ₱930,000, which was purportedly issued by the Chinese Embassy to the marketing company as compensation for one month of services.
