Despite the Senate’s perceived deadlock, which has stalled Bicameral conference committee proceedings, House Committee on Appropriations Chair and Nueva Ecija 1st District Rep. Mikaela Suansing said House Bicam conferees will reconvene on Tuesday.

“On the part of the House BICAM Conferees, it’s all systems go. We will once again be at PICC (Philippine International Convention Center) at 4 PM today,” she said in a statement.

On Monday, Suansing disagreed that the issue on the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) budget was a deadlock.

“I would not characterize this as a deadlock. Mismong si Senator Win Gatchalian na po yung nagsabi na ito po kasi ay may ongoing discussions lang. May mga bagay lang po sana na gusto nating isangguni sa DPWH, kay Sec. Vince, dahil kahapon naman po nakita natin, pare-pareho po yung palagay ng Kongreso ng Senado, at ng DPWH,” said Suansing during a press conference at the PICC yesterday.
