

All Filipinos in Panama have been reported safe and in good condition following the magnitude 7.7 earthquake that struck southern Panama on Friday, October 9, the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) said.
In a public advisory, the DMW said it is coordinating with the Philippine Honorary Consulate in Panama to monitor the condition of Filipinos in the country following the earthquake.
The agency, through the Migrant Workers Office (MWO) in Washington, D.C., is also working with the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) to monitor developments and provide updates as more information becomes available.
The DMW urged overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) who need assistance to contact the MWO in Washington, D.C., at +1 (202) 467-9426 or through email at [email protected].
OFWs may also reach the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) in Washington, D.C., through [email protected].
