Dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo was found to have a possible infection in the left lung during her medical exam prior to her transfer to the female dormitory of Pasig City Jail.
"Based doon sa doctor ng PNP General Hospital na probably from Friday and over the course of the weekend, baka nagdevelop ng possible infection ‘yung kanyang lungs," Philippine National Police (PNP) Spokesperson PCol. Jean Fajardo said to the press on early Monday.
"So we declared it, ‘yung mga doctors, and it will be the disposition of the BJMP on how to treat this possible infection," she added.
The statement was made by Fajardo following the official turnover of custody of Guo from the PNP Custodial Center to the Pasig Jail.
The latest medical results showed a circular formation in the left lung. Guo will then undergo a confirmatory test by the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP).
Currently, the former mayor is experiencing coughs and colds, although her health was reportedly cleared just last week.
According to the BJMP, Guo will be placed in isolation and will be housed with three patients recovering from tuberculosis to prevent her from infecting other inmates in the detention facility.
Around 8:50 this morning, the convoy transporting Guo left Camp Crame en route to the female dormitory at Pasig City Jail.

Earlier, the BJMP said Guo will receive no special treatment and will be housed alongside 44 other inmates.
The Pasig Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 167 ordered the transfer of Guo from the PNP Custodial Center in Camp Crame, Quezon City, to the female dormitory at Pasig City Jail.
