Media personality and actress Toni Gonzaga threw a baby shower for her younger sister, Alex, weeks after she announced her pregnancy.

While the baby shower took place on June 7 at a Taguig events place, it was featured in Toni’s YouTube vlog, “The Baby Shower I’ve Always Prayed For My Sister” shared on the platform on June 14.

Alex and her husband, businessman and politician Mikee Morada have not yet officially announced their baby’s gender. However, the party had a blue and teddy bear motif, possibly indicating that the couple is having a baby boy.

Several celebrities—the family’s close friends—were present at the baby shower, including Julia Barretto, her mother Marjorie, Luis Manzano and his wife, Jessy Mendiola, Melai Cantiveros and her husband Jason Francisco.

Popular influencer couple Cong TV and Viy Cortez, Toni Fowler, actress Mariel Rodriguez-Padilla, and actor-director Fifth Solomon also attended the baby shower.

This is Alex’s fourth pregnancy, having suffered three pregnancy losses since her marriage to Mikee. She miscarried in October 2021, had a failed IVF attempt in 2023, and experienced a blighted ovum in 2024.

Alex called this baby shower a “celebration of life” by God’s grace.

“Itong baby shower na ‘to for me is not just a party pero a celebration of life. Kasama namin ‘yung family na alam namin genuinely sobrang saya para sa amin na finally by God’s grace, nandito na ‘yung blessing, ‘yung baby namin,” the mom-to-be said in her sister’s vlog.
