It's a full-circle moment as Filipina tennis star Alex Eala meets her childhood idol, former Grand Slam champion Maria Sharapova, as a guest on the Russian great’s podcast “Pretty Tough.”

Sharapova shared a behind-the-scenes teaser on social media for the upcoming episode featuring the 21-year-old Eala.

“By very popular demand and rightfully so… she’s the girl of the moment @alex.eala ✨💫 Tomorrow on @PrettyTough I cannot wait for you to listen to this one!!” Sharapova wrote in her post.

Sharapova has long been known as one of Eala’s childhood tennis idols, making the podcast appearance a notable moment for the Filipina player.

The episode is scheduled to premiere Thursday, Manila time, across multi-platforms online.

Eala recently represented the Philippines at the 20th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, where she won a bronze medal in the women’s singles competition.

The Filipina netter is set to return to the WTA Tour at the Wuhan Open in China, a WTA 1000 event.
