Filipino tennis superstar Alexandra Eala had the honor of bearing the Philippine flag alongside Bryan Bagunas during the opening ceremony of the 33rd Southeast Asian (SEA) Games on December 9 in Thailand.

On her Instagram post, Eala expressed her gratitude and said she would cherish the experience for a lifetime.

“Maraming salamat sa tiwala at sa pagkakataong dalhin ang pangalan ng ating minamahal na bayan. Mabuhay ang atletang Pilipino! ❤️💙💛🤍."

Eala competed on Wednesday, December 10, in the women’s team quarterfinals for tennis. The Philippines defeated Vietnam with a 2-1 score.

The semifinals are scheduled for Friday, December 12.
