Alas Pilipinas climbs to no. 77 in FIVB World rankings

The Philippines men’s volleyball team Alas Pilipinas jumped to No. 77 in the FIVB world rankings after defeating Egypt at the 2025 FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship on Tuesday at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

The win moved the team up 11 spots from their previous No. 88 ranking.

Egypt, previously ranked 21st, dropped one spot to No. 22.

The Philippines now faces Iran in the Round of 16 on Thursday. A victory against the 14th-ranked team could push Alas Pilipinas even higher in the global rankings.
