Actress AJ Raval has confirmed long-running rumors about her family life, revealing in a candid interview that she is already a mother of five children—three of whom she shares with actor Aljur Abrenica.
Speaking with veteran host Boy Abunda on Fast Talk on Wednesday, November 12, Raval decided to set the record straight after years of speculation about her private life.
“Actually, Tito Boy, lima na po. I have five kids,” Raval said, as she introduced her eldest, Ariana, who is now seven years old.
She also shared that her second child, Aaron, has “already become an angel,” alluding to his passing.
The actress went on to name her three children with Abrenica: Aikina, Junior, and Abraham, though she chose not to identify the father of her other two kids.
Raval added that all her children have a healthy relationship with Abrenica’s sons with his former wife, actress Kylie Padilla. She even described Alas, Abrenica and Padilla’s eldest, as a “very responsible” kuya who naturally looks after his younger half-siblings.
According to Raval, her decision to speak openly about being a mother was driven by a desire to protect her children from public scrutiny and to finally enjoy a sense of normalcy as a family.
“Gusto ko na pong matapos, at gusto ko na rin magkaroon ng freedom ‘yung mga kids,” she said. “At first, mahirap po [ang maging ina], siyempre, pero nandiyan po ‘yung pamilya ko at naka-suporta sila. Kinaya ko naman."
Kylie Padilla’s response: ‘Peace all around’
Shortly after Raval’s interview aired, Abrenica’s ex-wife Kylie Padilla took to Facebook to share her thoughts, emphasizing understanding and peace instead of controversy.
Padilla revealed that she had long been aware of Raval and Abrenica’s family but chose to keep quiet for the sake of their children.
“Ito lng po comment ko para matapos na. Matagal ko na pong alam pero syempre inuna po namin ang kapakanan ng mga bata,” she wrote.
“Sobrang close sila at yun pinaka importante. Happy that now di na kailangan mag tago. Proud of you, peace all around. Sana matapos na drama,” Padilla expressed online.
Padilla and Abrenica share two sons, Alas Joaquin and Axl Romeo.
