Marissa Sue Prado, known for her roles in several independent and mainstream films, has passed away at 44, her family confirmed on Wednesday evening.
In a Facebook post, her sister, May Shereen Prado, announced that her sister “has become a constant star in the night sky.”
“It is with profound pain that we share Sue’s passing. Sue brought light in anyone’s path throughout her life. A life lived for others, for the craft she nourished and for those who she loved most,” she wrote.
“Please celebrate her in any way you know how, and honor her memory through kindness,” she added.
Details of the actress’ wake will be revealed at a later date.
Her cause of death was not revealed.
