Four individuals, including an eight-month-pregnant woman, were arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by the Orion Municipal Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit around 2:20 a.m. on Saturday in Barangay Bantan, Orion, Bataan.

In a report by RH provincial reporter Danny Cumilang, the suspects were identified as alias Rica, 30, who is eight months pregnant; alias Nicky, 35; alias Arthur, 72; and alias Gio, 45—all relatives and residents of the said barangay.

Police said Rica was the target of the operation after a poseur buyer was able to purchase a sachet of suspected shabu from her in exchange for ₱500 marked money.

Meanwhile, the three other suspects were caught in the act of using illegal drugs during a “pot session” in the area.

Seized from them were six sachets of suspected shabu weighing about 1.7 grams with an estimated street value of ₱7,276, along with drug paraphernalia and a cellphone.

In an interview with DZRH News, Rica admitted that she had recently used illegal drugs prior to her arrest.

The arrested suspects were charged for violation of Section 5, 13, 14 and 15 Art II of RA 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Today, October 13, the suspects will undergo inquest proceedings at the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office.
