A 74-year-old jogger was injured after being hit by a sports utility vehicle (SUV) along Vicente Sotto Street in Pasay City on Friday morning, September 25, 2026.
In a RH Kisses Jabson's report on DZRH Dos Por Dos, the victim was identified as Barangay Kagawad Antonio Petalio of Barangay 14, Pasay City. He sustained a head injury in the incident, which occurred at around 7 a.m.
Petalio said he was jogging along Vicente Sotto Street toward Roxas Boulevard when he was struck by the SUV.
The SUV driver, meanwhile, said he was traveling toward Manila via Sotto Street when he tried to avoid another vehicle.
He said he was driving at a slow speed but failed to notice Petalio while maneuvering to avoid the other car.
As of 7:30 a.m., rescuers had yet to arrive at the scene.
