The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) have repatriated another 60 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) from Saudi Arabia, bringing the total number of Filipinos returned from the country to 365.
In a press release dated October 25, 2026, the DMW said the latest batch arrived in the Philippines on Sunday night aboard Qatar Airways Flight QR928, which landed at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 at around 10 p.m.
The workers were transported from Riyadh to Al Qassim before boarding their flight to the Philippines as part of the government's continuing repatriation efforts.
Upon arrival, the OFWs received assistance from the OWWA, including transportation, temporary accommodation, and assistance with domestic flights, depending on their individual needs.
“Bawat OFW na ating napapauwi ay isang kababayang muling makakasama ang kanyang pamilya. Patuloy ang ating pag-alalay hanggang sa makabalik sila sa kani-kanilang tahanan,” OWWA Administrator Patricia Yvonne “PY” Caunan said.
The repatriation efforts are being carried out by the DMW and OWWA in coordination with the Philippine Embassy in Riyadh and the Migrant Workers Offices in Saudi Arabia.
The agencies said the initiative is in line with the directive of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and forms part of the Saving Lives pillar of the government's UPLIFT Assistance Program.
The program provides assistance to overseas Filipino workers who need government support, including those requiring repatriation and other welfare services.
The DMW and OWWA continue to facilitate the return of affected Filipino workers and provide assistance to help them reach their respective hometowns safely.
