

The Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) is gearing up for its 51st year with the theme “A New Era of Philippine Cinema,” promising a fresh celebration of Filipino storytelling and creativity.
The Eight MMFF 2025 entries are: Call Me Mother, Rekonek, Manila’s Finest, Shake Rattle and Roll: Evil Origins, I Am Perfect, Love You So Bad, UnMarry, and Bar Boys: After School. From horror to romance, drama to action, this diverse lineup aims to bring comfort, excitement, and heartfelt bonding moments to families and film lovers nationwide.
The films will hit theaters on December 25, continuing the beloved Filipino Christmas tradition of spending the holidays at the movies. Meanwhile, the prestigious Gabi ng Parangal is scheduled for December 27, where the best of the festival will be recognized.
Meanwhile, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has also revealed the official route for the highly anticipated Parade of Stars, happening on December 19. The parade will begin at Macapagal Boulevard, moving through Buendia Avenue, Ayala Avenue, Makati Avenue, J.P. Rizal Street, A. Reyes Avenue, and ending at Circuit Makati. The full route spans 8.43 kilometers and is expected to last around 1 hour and 40 minutes.
