

At least 45 families, or 141 individuals, were left homeless after a fourth-alarm fire struck Rand Street in Barangay North Fairview, Quezon City early Friday morning, December 12, 2025.
The fire began at around 4:20 a.m. and quickly spread through the area due to houses made of light materials.

More than 40 fire trucks responded to the incident, and firefighters were able to fully extinguish the blaze by 6:29 a.m. Approximately a total of 33 homes were destroyed.
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) is still investigating the cause of the fire and the total cost of damage.
Local authorities have begun assisting displaced families with temporary shelter and emergency relief.
