An additional 40 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, have safely returned to the Philippines, the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) said on Tuesday, October 27, 2026.

According to OWWA, the OFWs arrived at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 aboard Qatar Airways Flight QR928.

Their return is part of the DMW and OWWA’s ongoing repatriation efforts under the Saving Lives pillar of the UPLIFT Assistance Program, in line with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s directive to ensure the safety of affected OFWs.

Under the Alagang OWWA program, returning workers receive assistance upon arrival, including transportation, temporary accommodation, and domestic flight assistance for those who need to travel to their respective hometowns.
