Four of the petitioners who filed a disqualification case against incumbent Laguna Governor Ramil Hernandez and his wife, 2nd District Rep. Ruth Hernandez, have withdrawn their petition.
On Monday, May 5, RH 29 Boy Gonzales reported that four individuals, namely: Ma. Lanites Greganda, Darren John Cantalejo, Alena Nicole Dequillo, and Niño Greganda, filed a motion to withdraw their petition at the Commission on Elections (Comelec) facility today. According to their lawyer, Atty. Kenneth Beo, the four petitioners’ were unaware that their names were used in the document filed. He also stated that the latter’s signatures were forged.
According to Beo, on May 2, the individuals were informed that their names were included in a post by a local media outlet on Facebook, citing that they filed a petition for disqualification against the two Hernandezes.
Beo clarified that the four individuals’ identities were unlawfully used in the execution of the pinagsamang reklamong salaysay dated April 30, 2025.
“Peke ang pirma nila doon. Peke ang pirma nila, wala silang pinipirmahang anumang dokumento, sinumpaang salaysay, verification, doon sa petition of disqualification against Governor Ramil Hernandez and Congresswoman Hernandez,” Beo said.
When asked if he had any idea who filed the complaint, Beo stated it might be one of the Hernandezes' political opponents.

On May 2, disqualification charges were filed by four individuals against the Hernandezes, citing the alleged vote buying and misuse of government resources.
