Four individuals were reported as victims of an explosion on Tayuman Street and Dagupan Street in Tondo, Manila, on the afternoon of August 3.

According to firefighter-paramedic Jam Mariano, the four victims sustained severe injuries, including one who suffered a dislocated bone in their hand.
A witness to the event stated that the victims were about to begin their "kalakal" activities in the area when they suddenly heard an explosion from the sidewalk.
The PNP Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Canine Group (PNP EOD/K9 Group) confirmed that the object that exploded was a compressor.
