The four-car Dalian train has been deployed to shorten waiting times at the MRT-3 on Tuesday, August 26.

This comes after an additional carriage for each train set passed safety checks. The new carriages augment the capacity of each trains’ 1,200-passenger capacity by 500.

This is in line with President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s directive to reactivate the Dalian trains after being left idle for 10 years.
