Thirty-eight overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) affected by the continuing tensions in Saudi Arabia safely returned to the Philippines on Friday night, November 6.

The returning workers arrived aboard Qatar Airways Flight QR 928, which landed at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3.

Personnel from the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), together with the medical team of the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA), welcomed and assisted the repatriated Filipinos upon arrival.

The returning OFWs were provided with special financial assistance, free meals, temporary accommodation, and transportation to help them return to their respective families.

The DMW said repatriation assistance, in coordination with OWWA, will continue until November 11, 2026.

Another batch of around 290 OFWs is expected to return to the country in the coming days.

The agency urged OFWs affected by the security situation in Saudi Arabia who need repatriation assistance to coordinate with the nearest Migrant Workers Office (MWO) or Philippine Embassy.

"Para sa mga nangangailangan ng tulong sa repatriation, maaaring makipag-ugnayan sa pinakamalapit na Migrant Workers Office (MWO), Philippine Embassy, o tumawag sa DMW-OWWA 24/7 Hotline na 1348," the DMW said.
