Three rallyists were injured during the People’s State of the Nation Address (SONA) along Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City, on the same day as the President’s own SONA, on Monday.
A 14-year-old was pierced on the foot by a barbeque stick, a man, 32, was hit by a car, and one other individual, a woman, was also involved in a vehicular accident.
The Filipino Nurses United promptly treated the wounded.
Meanwhile, the Bagong Alyansang Makabayan (BAYAN) organization estimated that 10,000 rallyists were present for the multisectoral protest which amassed participants from provinces such as Bicol, Cavite, and Palawan—although this number is notably higher than the approximation given by police, reported RH 15 Jecelle Ricafort.
BAYAN President Renato Reyes gave President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. a “failing grade” for his performance so far. While he took pride in his administration’s accomplishments, Reyes said significant change has yet to be made.

Despite negative sentiments, the day passed without considerable issues. In a report by RH 52 Edniel Parrosa, the SONA was “generally peaceful,” said police.
