Three individuals were reportedly dead, while five are still missing, as Super Typhoon Nando and Tropical Depression Mirasol batter the country.
Based on the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council’s (NDRRMC) data, the combined effects of “Nando,” “Mirasol,” and the southwest monsoon continue to exacerbate adverse weather conditions in the country.
RH Edniel Parrosa reported that the NDRRMC said there was one casualty reported in the Cordillera Administrative Region, while two were earlier reported in Central Luzon.
Meanwhile, four are still missing in Central Luzon, while one was reported in the Bicol Region.
In contrast, nine people were reportedly injured due to the intensity of the said typhoon and tropical depression. Despite this, the NDRRMC clarified that they are still validating the reports to know whether the reported injuries and deaths had something to do with the southwest monsoon and typhoons.
Based on the report, there are about 35,264 families or 123,000 individuals who were affected by the said calamities.
Meanwhile, 4,360 families are currently staying in evacuation centers.
