The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) has confirmed that three air assets linked to former Ako Bicol Party-list Representative Zaldy Co are no longer in the country.

According to CAAP, two AgustaWestland helicopters owned by Co are currently in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia. Records show that the helicopters departed from the Philippines on August 20 and September 11, respectively. Meanwhile, Co’s Gulfstream aircraft has been in Singapore since August 16.

“CAAP reiterates that it continues to closely monitor all registered air assets in accordance with the law,” the agency said in an official statement.

It can be recalled that Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Vince Dizon revealed that aircraft assets worth nearly ₱4.7 billion.

Dizon also disclosed that he had formally requested the Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC) to freeze these assets pending investigation.

Reports indicate that Co is currently outside the country.
