

The number of reported deaths linked to the combined effects of Typhoons Luis and Maymay and the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat has risen to 29, according to the latest data from the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).
The NDRRMC reported that 6.8 million individuals across 11 regions have been affected by the weather disturbances, equivalent to nearly 2 million families.
The reported fatalities do not yet include any potential casualties from Typhoon Neneng, which is currently affecting the country.
Authorities also recorded 19 injuries, while three people remain missing.
Despite improving conditions in some affected areas, around 47,000 individuals remain in evacuation centers, highlighting the continuing need for relief and recovery assistance.
The disasters have also caused billions of pesos in damage to key sectors. Infrastructure losses have reached an estimated ₱4.6 billion, while damage to agriculture is placed at approximately ₱1.4 billion.
The NDRRMC continues to monitor the situation and coordinate with local government units and other agencies as affected communities recover from the successive weather disturbances and brace for the possible impacts of Typhoon Neneng.
