Around 2,400 drivers are expected to receive ₱5,000 in financial assistance in Manila under a new payout program for those who were not included in the first batch and for additional beneficiaries added after verification.
According to MDSW Director Jay Reyes Dela Fuente, the payout covers drivers who previously missed out and those newly included following the validation process.
The Department of Social Welfare and Development (Department of Social Welfare and Development or DSWD) is also on-site to personally distribute the assistance to qualified beneficiaries.
Officials clarified that some names may still be excluded from the current list due to ongoing validation, delisting, and record-cleaning procedures.
However, they assured that another special payout may still be conducted for those who will not be included in this round.
They added that the official list is based on submissions from JODA organizations, which were then subjected to verification by the DSWD.
