A 24-year-old law student died after an alleged fall from the fourth floor of a condominium building in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City, on September 18, 2026.

According to a police report, the incident occurred at around 7:30 a.m. at the fourth floor of Fort Victoria Building in Barangay Fort Bonifacio. The incident was reported to the police at around 9:10 a.m., with the Taguig City Police Station’s desk receiving the report at around 10:28 a.m.

The victim, a 24-year-old Filipino male and law student at a university in Bonifacio Global City, was found lifeless on the ground after building personnel heard a loud thudding sound.

Initial police investigation showed that security personnel had completed their morning roll call at around 7:01 a.m. and proceeded to the lobby. At around 7:30 a.m., a security officer went upstairs and, upon opening the door of the barracks, heard a loud thudding sound that was also noticed by occupants from other floors.

The security officer and a building maintenance worker immediately proceeded to the area to determine the source of the noise, where they discovered the victim’s lifeless body.

Police immediately cordoned off the area and requested investigators from the Taguig City Police Station’s Investigation and Detective Management Section and the Southern Police District Forensic Unit to conduct crime scene processing.

Authorities have yet to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the incident, including whether the fall was intentional.

Taguig police chief PCOL Julius Añonuevo earlier told DZRH News that investigators are looking into the possibility of suicide but stressed that the matter remains under investigation.

Police are also checking for possible witnesses and CCTV footage that may have captured the incident.

The victim’s remains will undergo an autopsy examination to determine the exact cause of death.

Authorities have also appealed to the public to refrain from drawing conclusions while the investigation is ongoing, particularly amid social media posts claiming that the victim died by suicide and linking his surname to a personality allegedly connected to controversial flood control projects.

Police said the case has been referred to investigators for further investigation and proper disposition.
