The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Monday released a total of ₱4.1 million in cash rewards to 21 informants who provided information leading to the arrest of various wanted persons.
The ceremonial turnover was held at Camp Crame on May 4.
As part of standard operating procedures to protect their identity and ensure their safety and privacy, the informants appeared during the ceremony in disguises, including dark shades covering their eyes, full face masks, and gloves on their hands.
One informant received the largest reward of ₱1 million for information that led to the October 1, 2025 arrest of a suspect facing 54 counts of violations under the Terrorism Financing and Prevention and Suppression Act of 2012.
PNP Chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. said the contributions of informants are vital to police operations, noting that their information helps prevent risks during law enforcement actions and speeds up the delivery of justice.
