The 2026 Formula 1 World Championship is set to begin on March 6, with teams and drivers ready to compete following an action-packed 2025 season.
Pre-season testing took place in Bahrain from February 18 to 20, which gave the teams a final opportunity to fine-tune their cars before the opening race in Australia from March 6 to 8.
The season will continue with Round 2 in China (March 13 to 15) and Round 3 in Japan (March 27 to 29), spanning a total of 24 rounds and concluding in Abu Dhabi from December 4 to 6.
Lando Norris secured his first Formula 1 World Drivers’ Championship in 2025, claiming the title at the season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
Driving for McLaren-Mercedes, Norris amassed 423 points, edging out Red Bull Racing’s Max Verstappen, who finished as runner-up, and his McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri in third place.
Meanwhile, F1 fans can catch up on the drama behind the track as Netflix released the newest season of its popular documentary series F1: Drive to Survive on February 27, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the rivalries, strategy, and challenges leading up to the 2026 season.
