Kapuso actress Cai Cortez is now a college graduate!

Cai took to social media to share her happiness at having earned a college degree in political science at the University of Makati.

“20 years in the making,” she captioned the post.

She dedicated the milestone to her parents, veteran actor Rez Cortez and his wife, Candy.

“Mom and dad, sana proud kayo kahit it took this long to give you a diploma,” Cai said.

She also thanked the University of Makati for allowing her to pursue higher studies while working and caring for two children as a solo parent.

In July, Cai opened up about the painful end of her marriage to Tunisian national Wissem Rkhami. Her parents, she said, helped her get back on her feet and rebuild her life as a single mother.
