Two individuals were wounded after a passenger jeepney lost control of its brakes at Plaza San Lorenzo Ruiz in Binondo, Manila, on Monday afternoon.

According to Manila Traffic and Parking Bureau (MTPB) personnel, among the victims are a female passenger of the said jeepney and a male pedestrian.

In an interview with the jeepney driver, he said his vehicle reportedly experienced a brake failure while traveling, RH Tina Nolasco reported.

To avoid a more serious accident and prevent a collision with other motorists, the driver said he swerved the jeepney towards the side of the road.

However, aside from the two victims, another parked vehicle, an SUV, was affected by the incident.

The victims were immediately rushed to an orthopedic hospital.
