

Two people were killed after an ultralight aircraft crashed in a rice field in Barangay Panalicsican, Concepcion, Tarlac on Saturday morning, October 18.
The victims were identified as a 19-year-old male pilot who is a resident of Barangay Duquit, Mabalacat City, Pampanga, and an 18-year-old female, a resident of Sto. Rosario, Macabebe, Pampanga.
According to initial police reports, residents of Barangay Panalicsican saw the small aircraft flying low over the area before it suddenly lost control and crashed into a rice field around 11:00 a.m.
Emergency responders immediately rushed to the crash site and brought the victims to the Concepcion District Hospital for treatment as they sustained serious injuries.
However, both were pronounced dead on arrival by the attending physician.
"As a result, both victims sustained serious injury and was rushed to Concepcion district hospital for medical treatment but were pronounced Dead on Arrival by the attending Physician," the report said.
Authorities are conducting a further investigation to determine the cause of the crash.
Witnesses said the aircraft appeared to be on a routine flight before the incident occurred.
