

Two people died after a bus plunged into a ravine Monday evening, April 20, in Sitio Upper Sapinit, Barangay Silangang Malicboy, Pagbilao, Quezon.
According to the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), the crash occurred around 8:07 p.m. when the bus was carrying a total of 41 individuals.
Authorities did not provide a breakdown of injuries but confirmed that aside from the two fatalities, other passengers were affected and transported to hospitals for medical assessment and treatment.
Emergency responders, including the MDRRMO, Philippine National Police, Bureau of Fire Protection, and personnel from nearby barangays, conducted search and rescue operations at the scene.
Responders administered first aid, coordinated additional rescue vehicles and manpower, and ensured the immediate evacuation of victims.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
