Two Chinese nationals were arrested after authorities raided a warehouse storing counterfeit fabric conditioners worth about ₱1.2 million in San Simon, Pampanga, the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) said.

The joint operation involving the Philippine National Police-CIDG, Armed Forces of the Philippines and Food and Drug Administration was conducted in Barangay San Isidro under a search warrant for alleged violations of the Food and Drug Administration Act of 2009.

Authorities seized boxes of unregistered fabric conditioners from the warehouse, which was allegedly being used to store and sell products without FDA registration and a license to operate.

The suspects were identified as an incorporator and a supervisor of a chemical manufacturing corporation.

The CIDG warned the public against using counterfeit fabric conditioners, saying the products may contain toxic chemicals and pose health risks because they have not undergone FDA safety assessments.

CIDG Director Maj. Gen. Robert Morico II commended the CIDG-NCR Field Unit, led by Police Col. John Guiagui, for the operation.

Morico also urged the public to remain vigilant and report suspicious products, particularly as the holiday season approaches.
