A 15-year-old boy was killed after being stabbed by another minor in the Baseco Compound, Port Area, Manila, on Monday evening.

In a Tuesday report by RH 29 Boy Gonzales, the victim was identified as a student and resident of Barangay 649. The suspect, aged 16, is from the same barangay.

According to the Manila Police District (MPD), the victim and suspect were in a fistfight around 7 p.m. at the Block-5 Extension of the compound. In the middle of the altercation, the suspect allegedly pulled out a Swiss Knife and stabbed the victim twice on the left side of his body before fleeing.

The victim was rushed to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center but was declared dead by the attending physician at around 7:20 p.m.

The incident was reported to police around 7:30 p.m. by the victim’s grandmother.

Authorities immediately conducted a follow-up operation, which led to the arrest of the suspect around 8 o’clock that night. The weapon used in the crime was also recovered.

The suspect is currently under the custody of the police and is undergoing the appropriate process for children involved in crime. The incident is under investigation by the MPD Homicide Section.
