A 14-year-old Grade 8 student is being treated at a hospital after he was shot during a clash between two groups of teenagers in Tacloban City on the night of December 6, 2025.

According to the Tacloban City Police Office, the suspect is a 15-year-old Grade 9 student from Tacloban National Agricultural School.

The incident happened around 8:20 p.m. in Pope Francis Village, Barangay 99 (Diit).

Police investigation showed that the victim was walking along the road when a confrontation broke out between two rival groups.

Upon seeing the victim, the suspect allegedly shot him, hitting him in the eyebrow. The victim was rushed to the hospital for treatment.

Authorities have since arrested the teenage suspect.
